Hey, I'm Alexandrea~

When I create, I do so from a place of wanting to evoke some sense of grit, mood, whimsy, or the ethereal. My work reflects the way I view the world around me, or even a world I wish existed.
I love to work on projects with people who are passionate about their ideas, their adventures, and their craftsmanship — Because when people are free to be who they are and do what they love, that’s when the best photos happen!
My work will always be human made.

“We're each of us our own chiaroscuro, our own bit of illusion trying to emerge into something solid, something real.”

My Focus on Quality vs Quantity
When building the packages I offer, I’ve really taken into account what quality looks like to myself and my clients. In order for me to focus all of my efforts on providing the highest quality of work that I can, I do not provide a high photo count as a standard for any of my service packages.
I don’t make promises about deliveries of 1000-photo galleries or hourly-specific fees. What I can promise instead is a minimum amount of photos that you will receive per package, with the opportunity for additional photos to be chosen & purchased for editing. My ability to maintain a strong work ethic, reasonable turn-around time, and flexibility in pricing for quality photos is made possible by my dedication to the philosophy of quality over quantity.
This concept will not be a good fit for every potential client, and that is okay! I totally understand if you prefer to have lots and lots of options rolled into one price per package – It’s certainly a straight-forward method for many. For me, I prefer to have the opportunity to build custom packages that suit my clients needs and honor my time, expertise, and artistic spirit accordingly.
For every client that chooses to work with me and support my craft, I appreciate you greatly and hope that you will feel that appreciation through the quality of the personal art you receive from me.
Midwestern Roots
I am a crafty, fantasy-world-obsessed artist from the Midwest of the USA.
Born and raised in a little suburban alcove between a bunch of farms, I ran off to the biggest city nearby looking for adventure!
That “big city” was Milwaukee, WI and it holds a very special place in our hearts. My husband Eira and I have lived in MKE for about 10 years now, and we’ve met so many beautiful friends and clients that we cherish, but soon we’ll be hitting the road in our converted bus and thriving as digital nomads!
I have always been a lover of all art forms, and it’s so important to me to help lift other artists up and provide them with the tools and content they need to support themselves and their craft. We want to do away with the “starving artist” stereotype.
Sound like the kind of thing you'd want to read about?
On Substack I'm writing about so many things -- My experiences as a creative, diaries about my favorite photoshoots, and our progress building a school bus tiny home!
